BMNR Nears 5% of Ethereum Supply, Solidifying Crypto Leadership

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) on the Cusp of Owning 5% of Ethereum’s Total Supply, Solidifying Crypto Leadership

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), under the strategic leadership of renowned Wall Street strategist Tom Lee, has announced a significant expansion of its Ethereum (ETH) holdings, bringing the company remarkably close to controlling 5% of the cryptocurrency’s total circulating supply.

Bitmine Amasses Nearly 5.8 Million ETH, Valued Over $10.9 Billion

In a recent disclosure, BMNR revealed an additional acquisition of 10,399 ETH last week, elevating its total Ethereum reserves to an impressive 5,797,813 tokens. This monumental accumulation now represents approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s entire circulating supply, positioning BMNR just a step away from its ambitious 5% target.

Valued at an estimated $1,880 per ETH, the company’s Ethereum assets alone now command a staggering $10.9 billion. This makes Bitmine not only the largest publicly listed holder of Ethereum globally but also the second-largest cryptocurrency reserve company overall, trailing only Strategy, which boasts $57 billion in Bitcoin holdings.

Over 4.9 Million ETH Staked, Projecting Nearly $250 Million in Annual Yields

Beyond mere accumulation, Bitmine is actively leveraging its vast ETH reserves through a robust staking strategy. The company has committed 4,917,189 ETH, valued at approximately $9.2 billion, to staking via its proprietary MAVAN platform and strategic partners. This proactive approach is projected to generate substantial annual staking yields, estimated to reach up to $247 million, underscoring Bitmine’s commitment to maximizing asset utility and shareholder value.

While Ethereum forms the cornerstone of its digital asset strategy, Bitmine maintains a diversified and formidable portfolio. In addition to its ETH dominance, the company holds 209 Bitcoin, $180 million in Beast Industries shares, $61 million in Eightco Holdings shares, and $173 million in cash and marketable securities, culminating in a total asset valuation of approximately $11.3 billion.

Chairman Tom Lee reiterated his unwavering confidence in Ethereum’s future trajectory. He specifically highlighted Ethereum’s exceptional performance in July, outperforming the Nasdaq 100 by a remarkable 2,500 basis points (25 percentage points). Lee noted this marked the largest single-month outperformance since July 2025, a testament to the escalating market demand and allocation preference for Ethereum.

Company Executes Strategic Stock Buyback, Repurchasing 16.1 Million Shares Since July

In parallel with its aggressive digital asset strategy, Bitmine is also executing a significant stock buyback program. Tom Lee stated that the company views its current share price as highly attractive, leading to the repurchase of 4.5 million common shares over the past week.

Since July 1st, Bitmine has cumulatively bought back 16.1 million shares, part of a previously approved $4 billion stock repurchase plan, signaling strong management confidence in the company’s intrinsic value.

As of this writing, Ethereum continues to trade above the $1,800 mark, reflecting a minor 0.2% dip over the last 24 hours. Bitmine’s strategic maneuvers, combining aggressive asset accumulation, smart staking, and a robust stock buyback program, firmly establish its position as a leading force in the evolving digital asset landscape.
