Bitmine’s $11.3 Billion Ethereum Portfolio Signals Bullish Crypto Market

Bitmine Immersion Technologies Fuels Digital Asset Growth with Aggressive Ethereum Acquisitions and Strategic Stock Buybacks

Bitmine Immersion Technologies, a leading Ethereum reserve company, significantly expanded its digital asset portfolio last week, executing a substantial purchase of 9,946 Ethereum (ETH). This latest strategic acquisition elevates the company’s total ETH holdings to an impressive 5.787 million tokens, valued at approximately $11.3 billion. The move underscores Bitmine’s unwavering commitment to its robust accumulation strategy.

Chairman Tom Lee emphasized the consistency of their approach, stating in a recent announcement, “Since the launch of our Ethereum reserve strategy on June 30, 2025, Bitmine has consistently acquired Ethereum from the open market every single week.”

This recent buying spree represents an intensified pace compared to the previous week’s acquisition of 7,430 ETH. Bitmine’s current holding of 5,787,414 ETH now constitutes approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply, solidifying its position as a major institutional holder in the cryptocurrency space.

Tom Lee: ETH/BTC Ratio at 3-Month High Signals Bullish Crypto Market Outlook

In addition to its substantial Ethereum acquisitions, Bitmine also scaled up its share repurchase program last week. Tom Lee reported that the company repurchased 6.1 million shares of common stock within the week, an increase from the 5.5 million shares bought back in the prior week.

Lee elaborated on the rationale behind the accelerated buyback, noting that despite a cooling of market expectations regarding the 2026 passage of the CLARITY Act, the company opted to increase repurchases. This decision is primarily driven by the continuous rise in the ETH/BTC ratio—a critical indicator of Ethereum’s price strength relative to Bitcoin. This trend, according to Lee, suggests a renewed flow of capital into Ethereum, which in turn indicates a potential strengthening of the overall cryptocurrency market.

The Chairman highlighted that the ETH/BTC ratio has now reached a three-month high of 0.3000. This metric typically signals that Ethereum is outperforming Bitcoin, a development the company believes will be highly beneficial for Ethereum’s subsequent price performance.

Ethereum Reclaims 10-Week High, Eyes Key Resistance at $2,000 and $2,500

Furthermore, Tom Lee views Ethereum’s recent vigorous price rebound as a crucial signal of reinvigorated market sentiment. He pointed out that Ethereum successfully touched a 10-week high on Monday and advised investors to closely monitor the significant technical resistance levels at $2,000 and $2,500 in the coming period.

As part of its previously announced $4 billion stock repurchase program, Bitmine has cumulatively repurchased 11.6 million shares of common stock to date, demonstrating a robust vote of confidence from the management team in the company’s long-term prospects.

Adding to its strategic financial maneuvers, Bitmine has also allocated 4,917,189 ETH to staking, which is projected to generate an annualized staking yield of $254 million for the company, further diversifying its revenue streams.
